KMV Jalandhar, the Autonomous ,Heritage Institution has many firsts to its credit. One of the most prestigious institutions of India, KMV has always prioritised selfless service to humanity. It has reached out to the underprivileged and needy in the society through various activities and programmes undertaken from time to time. Catering to the need of the hour to inculcate these values in its students, the face of tomorrow , KMV has made such value based courses a mandatory part of its curriculum.
Each semester grooms and chisels the students to be future ready by introducing a value based concept in the form of a course . The first semester has Foundation course ,the second semester features Moral Education course , Gender Sensitization & Self Empowerment in the third and Social Outreach in the fourth . In addition there are Gender Sensitisation and Self Defence classes, in fifth semester, there’s a choice between Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creative Thinking and Job Readiness, The students opt for either of these in semester five These programmes have received an overwhelming response from the students and as such continue to form a part of the rich legacy inherited by the alumnae of KMV .
